It has now been three years since COVID-19 was first identified, but we are still in this fight against the pandemic and there is much we are still learning about COVID. The public remains confused – where are we now with COVID? On May 11, Dr. Saad B. Omer, Director of the Yale Institute for Global Health and a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Yale University, will share his insights with us during a moderated discussion.
Dr. Omer has served on several national and international advisory panels, and discussed a range of COVID-19 topics with a variety of media outlets, including NPR, Vox, and Nature. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Lancet, British Medical Journal, Pediatrics, American Journal of Public Health, Science, and is the author of op-eds for publications such as the New York Times, Politico, and the Washington Post. His work has been cited in global and country-specific policy recommendations and has informed clinical practice and health legislation in several countries.
