David Bach is Deputy Dean for Academic Programs and Professor in the Practice of Management at Yale School of Management. An expert in political economy, his research and teaching focuses on business-government relations, nonmarket strategy, and global market regulation. His course “The End of Globalization?” received the 2018 Ideas Worth Teaching Award from the Aspen Institute.

As a member of Yale SOM’s senior leadership team, Dean Bach directs the school’s Executive MBA, Master of Advanced Management, and Master of Management Studies programs; leads global strategy primarily via engagement with the 30-school strong Global Network for Advanced Management; supervises marketing, communications, and technology; and oversees Yale Center Beijing. He also serves on the Provost's Advisory Committee on International Activities.

Da Wei is Professor and Assistant President at the University of International Relations (UIR) in Beijing; he is also the Director of the Department of International Politics and the Director of the Center for International Strategy and Security Studies at the university. Da Wei’s research expertise includes China-US relations and US foreign policy and security policy.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Da Wei worked at the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), a top think tank in Beijing for more than 2 decades, where his last position was Director of the Institute of American Studies. Da Wei earned his B.A. (Chinese Literature) and M.A. (International Relations) degrees from the University of International Relations (UIR), and his Ph.D. (International Relations) from CICIR. He was a senior visiting scholar at the Atlantic Council of the US from 2006-2007, and senior associate at SAIS, Johns Hopkins University from 2007 to 2009.

Carol Li Rafferty is the Founding Managing Director of Yale Center Beijing, Yale University’s convening and intellectual hub in China. As the inaugural head of the Center, Carol is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with business, government, and thought leaders from all disciplines and developing programs that facilitate meaningful dialogues between China and the world. In 2016, the World Economic Forum (WEF) selected Carol as a Young Global Leader (YGL), and she currently serves as a member of the YGL Advisory Group, the YGL’s global advisory board.

Carol graduated cum laude from Yale University, with dual B.A. degrees in Economics and International Studies. She received her J.D. degree from Stanford Law School. She is also a China Fellow of the Aspen Institute.
