    Siddharth Chatterjee

    The United Nations Resident Coordinator in China

    Mr. Siddharth Chatterjee took office as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in China on 16 January 2021 and is the designated representative of - and reports to - the UN Secretary General.



    Mr. Chatterjee has more than 25 years of experience in international cooperation, sustainable development, humanitarian coordination, and peace and security in the United Nations and the Red Cross movement. He has served in many fragile and war-torn countries all over the world.

    Mr. Chatterjee holds a master’s degree in public policy from Princeton University.

    Founder and CEO of Apricot Forest

    Yusheng Zhang was trained as a physician and public health professional at Peking Union Medical College and Johns Hopkins University. He previously worked at WellPoint as a clinical research manager until his return to China to start his own business as Founder of Apricot Forest (Xingshulin). The company won the Beijing Startup Weekend Competition in 2011 and received venture capital investment from Silicon Valley.

    Stone Shi is a Partner at Ascendent Capital Partners. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at the D. E. Shaw Group, leading private equity investments in Greater China. Before that, he served as Vice President at CCMP Capital Asia Ltd. (formerly JP Morgan Partners Asia), where he focused on buyouts and other private equity investments in China and the Asia-Pacific region. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, advising on international equity offerings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions for Chinese companies.

    He holds a B.A. and M.A. from Tsinghua University.
