Volker Leppin is a distinguished scholar specializing in medieval and Reformation studies, with a particular focus on the history of spirituality. Before joining Yale in 2021, he spent over two decades teaching Church history at various universities in Germany and Switzerland. He is the author of 20 monographs, including Martin Luther: A Late Medieval Life, with most of his works published in German.

Qiuling Li is a professor at the School of Philosophy at Renmin University of China. His primary research areas include German classical philosophy. He has been involved in the field of philosophy education at Chinese universities for 37 years. He has authored numerous academic monographs including History in the Perspective of German Philosopher. He has also translated over 50 Western academic classics, including The Complete Works of Immanuel Kant (9 volumes), as well as dozens of scholarly articles.
