Most architects understand architectures as an enclosed space. The experience of the built environment has made way for forms of modernity or tradition, the "dressing" of the enclosed space. How does the suffused space in contrast to enclosed space correspond to the relationship between space and human. What is the space after the grotesque and the indifference of architecture? Architect Na Wei launched a new book Suffused Spacethatreflects her design practice, academic methodology and theoretical research in the field of architecture. Yansong Ma (M. Arch. 2002), founding partner of MAD, wrote the foreword for this book.
On September 20, Na Wei (M.Arch. 2004) will share her thoughts of the relationship between people and building environment and the methodology she named as Emotive Design. Meanwhile, Na Wei and other three Yale alumni will discuss a series of hot topics: today's architecture in China and real estate investment.
