Many actors and actresses are eager to improve their acting skills. But what is acting? How to improve acting ability? What is the effective way to improve the capability? In this information session, Professor Christopher will reveal more details of his training system and answer questions through video. Also, Associate Professor of The Central Academy of Drama Yu Luo will join the information session to discuss details of the seminar.

    Christopher Bayes

    Professor and Head of Physical Acting, Yale School of Drama

    Christopher Bayes has served on the faculty of Juilliard for 23 years and is currently a Professor and Head of Physical Acting at the Yale School of Drama.

    He began his theater career as an actor, director, composer, designer and artistic associate. In New York, he has directed Servant of Two Master, Red Noses, The Bourgeois Gentleman and etc. He has received numerous awards and grants including a Jerome Foundation Travel/Study Grant, a General Mills Foundation Artist Assistance Grant, and both a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship Grant and a Career Opportunity Grant. He is a 1999/2000 Fox Fellow.

    Associate Professor, Master Instructor, Theater Director of Acting Department, The Central Academy of Drama; Executive President, The Beijing Center for Exploration of Western Acting Art

    Yu Luo, graduated from the Central Academy of Drama, has professional teaching experience for nearly 15 years, and serves as theater director and acting coach for professional actors and actresses. She has participated in the visiting scholars programs at Yale Drama School, Tisch School in New York University, and Juilliard School of Drama. After returning to China, she had built up The Beijing Center for Exploration of Western Art together with the American Actors Center. She is dedicated to integrating western actor training system with Chinese culture to explore and promote the training and career management of Chinese actors and actresses.
