Narratives shape how we understand our place in the world, connect with others, and communicate ideas with clarity and purpose. Across every aspect of life, narratives have a vital role in influencing how ideas are received. They are all the more important, in the age of AI, when it can be all too easy to lose one's voice to mechanical tools that, when used improperly, may generate little more than polished but inauthentic noise.
Media expert Nick, PhD '23, will lead a three-hour workshop on May 31, engaging with participants how to craft compelling narratives simply with pen and paper. Participants will be invited to bring a book and share examples of rhetoric and narrative they find meaningful, and to clarify their ideas and develop their own voice. By the end of the workshop, participants will feel more confident in their ability to tell the story that matter most to them, with greater precision and authenticity.
