Countries around the world are increasingly focused on climate change and greenhouse gas emissions. Many new concepts like energy transition, carbon neutrality, and net zero emissions are becoming mainstream. Since China's announcement last September to reach carbon neutrality by 2060, other countries including Japan, South Korea, and the United States have put forth similar net zero targets (by 2050). As governments implement more policies to reach these ambitious pledges and bring oil, gas, and coal consumption to near zero within the next three to four decades, the global economy is also poised for unprecedented transformation.

During this online event on June 21, senior expert Xizhou Zhou '05, '06 MEM, will discuss some key questions about the future of sustainability and implications for the global economy, including:
