Event Details

Climate change is one of the most urgent challenges to global sustainable development. To build a brighter future marked by sustainability and high-quality development, we must draw not only on science and technology, but also on the cultural wisdom embedded in Chinese traditionsโ€”from the ecological insights in Confucianism and Daoism to the environmental knowledge of local communities.

On April 28, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim, Co-Directors of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology, will join Xia Chen, Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Zongxu (Hazim) Xie, Co-Founder of Vision 2061, for a panel discussion on how to stimulate new paths for change in a warming world. The conversation will be moderated by Binbin Wang, Yale World Fellow '23.
